Education is to learn to think, reason, and consider. Training is simply the acquisition of professional or technical knowledge. Education is bigger. A bachelor's degree with a flight education major has distinct advantages over only obtaining flight certifications from a training school.
As a graduate of Ohio State's aviation program, you gain not only flight certifications but you also gain an education in aviation as well as all the lifelong benefits of a higher education.
A college degree is almost universally required for any kind of career. Over the course of an aviation career, your degree with an aviation major can distinguish you from those that only have training, which can increase your competitiveness for career opportunities.
